With over 20 years of industry experience, I bring a wealth of expertise and a deep commitment to excellence in the field of surveying.

Background:

My career began with a non-traditional entry, completing a conversion MSc in Quantity Surveying before swiftly achieving chartered status. This foundation set the stage for a dynamic career dedicated to delivering exceptional results across a wide range of sectors.

I began my professional journey at one of the world’s leading global consultancies, where I honed my skills as a Quantity Surveyor, Project Manager, Employer’s Agent, Contract Administrator, and Principal Designer. Over the years, I have successfully led diverse projects, developing a comprehensive understanding of the industry and an unwavering dedication to quality.

Armed with extensive experience and a passion for innovation, I have now embraced the challenge of establishing my own surveying firm. My mission is to apply the insights and expertise gained throughout my career to deliver outstanding services and create lasting value for clients.

  • Project Highlights: Throughout my career, I continue to successfully deliver a large range of projects, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of the built environment. My key projects include healthcare, residential, commercial, hospitality and heritage schemes, delivering successful outcomes through meticulous processes and strategic problem-solving.

Specialist Skills:

  • At the core of what I do is an unwavering commitment to the standards set by the RICS. I take pride in improving through CPD and my involvement as an APC Counsellor and Assessor and this helps me to retain the highest possible quality in my work.
  • Cost Planning: I usually like to understand the specific requirements and shape the cost plan to suit the project/client. I follow RICS guidance and tailor a bespoke out put rather than a ‘one size fits all’ solution. Using measuring software and benchmark cost data – I am able to produce cost plans at an y Cost Planning Stage.
  • Tendering: I have worked with a great many organisations with varying tendering requirements and rules. All of the tender processes that I am responsible for are considered prior to commencement and are bespoke to suit the specifics of the individual project.
  • Financial Management and Reporting of Construction Projects: Managing post contract changes, expenditure and forecasting accurately is a hugely important area of Quantity Surveying. I construct the reports for the needs of each client and ensure that all variations are tracked from risk to anticipated through to instruction. This document is vital for understanding risks to the projects, progress and also to manage budgets and understand likely out turn costs. Good commercial reporting allows me to agree Final Accounts swiftly and with minimal risk to the Client. Contract Preparation and Administration:

Having gained a thorough understanding of contracts – it is one of the most rewarding tasks to complete a set of Contract Documents that capture all of the agreements and rules to the project. Completion of this part of a contract is vital in the smooth running of a scheme and this is one area that is the most rewarding to get right.

I consistently have demonstrated expertise in implementing a client-centric approach by prioritizing client needs and preferences in all business decisions and interactions. I am proficient in active listening and personalized communication, resulting in enhanced client experience and satisfaction. I have built many lasting relationships based on trust and mutual respect, leading to increased client loyalty and long-term success.
